It is intended that eligibility be as open as possible to all Franklin and Papakura businesses.  Any registered business of any size with its premises (place of business) located within Franklin or Papakura boundaries may apply.  

Business entering the Awards must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Your business is Franklin or Papakura based and has been established and trading for at least 12 months
• If your organisation is part of a larger organisation that you function as a separate business unit
• If your entry relates to a specific project, that it has been completed and fully implemented during the year ending 31 March 2008
• If you have won a Business Excellence Award before in either the Franklin or Papakura Business Excellence Awards, your organisation has significantly improved its performance

Applicants must disclose any issues that may compromise the integrity of the Programme or cause the business to discontinue in the next year.  These issues may include legal action, law changes, possible loss of funding, or other risks.  If you have any issues that should be disclosed, these can be discussed in confidence in the first instance, with the Programme organisers.

The Programme is not open to employees of Enterprise Franklin Development Trust, Papakura District Council, or its agents.
